Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA)

The School started working towards the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) in October 2014, with the final taking place at the end of June 2015.

The Award looks at many different areas and the school creates a portfolio of evidence to be assessed. A working group of parents and Mrs Gilbert met throughout the time the evidence was gathered and looked at areas where we could improve.

During the 14/15 school year, numerous improvements were made by the School e.g.:-

  • The text service to keep Parents better updated.
  • The introduction of a Comments box on homework for parent / child feedback.
  • Sessions on how Parents can help their child (Bug Club, Phonics, Maths).
  • Providing the opportunity for Parents to come and look through their child's books on a Monday after school.

Feedback was gathered following many other activities e.g. Lunches, World Book Day, Easter Eggstravaganza and this now appears on a new Working Together section on the school website.  A “You Said, We Did” section on the web has also been introduced to communicate many other improvements that have been made.

In June, we had our portfolio assessed and were successful in achieving the Award.  The feedback was really positive and we are looking to making many more improvements during the next school year.
