Introducing the
'Friends of Brading Primary'

Male Gardener

Who are we? We are a group of parents/guardians who have children attending Brading Primary. The group was created many years ago but unfortunately disbanded due to lack of support, however since October 2014, when it was re-introduced we have held a number of events.

What do we do? We get together to think of ways we can fundraise for the school to provide extra activities to help make our children’s time at Brading the best it can be. It may be that the school needs help to fund for equipment, resources, outing’s or purely just for the fun factor. The meetings are informal with the opportunity to grab a coffee with some adult company! If you are new to the area/school then it's a great way to meet others.

Who can become a 'Friend of Brading Primary'? Absolutely anyone who has a connection with Brading Primary can become a 'Friend of Brading'. Mums, Dads, Guardians, Carers, Grandmas, Grandads – you are all welcome. Female Gardener

What we have done in the last year: Since October 2014 when we reformed, the group has managed the 'Big Dig' in the garden to prepare it for our children to use, Phil the Bag to raise funds, the Christmas Fayre, Christmas disco, Easter Eggstravaganza where the children enjoyed a movie and popcorn, not to mention our most successful Summer Fayre to date.

Future projects: We are currently organising our Christmas Fayre to raise further funds for the school.  We have just had our School Disco which was great fun and a huge success!

If you want to be involved: Check the newsletter for our next meeting, or ask in the office for more information.

It would be great to see some new faces and show your support for all the children at Brading, we look forward to seeing you soon.
