Hawaii Class

Welcome to Hawaii class!

Hawaii Class will be taught by Miss Ward and supported by Miss Gulliver and Miss Mitchell.
This year, Hawaii Class will be going on an exciting adventure through time, place, and discovery. We begin our journey by exploring the world around us, learning about different countries, cultures, and the wonders that make our planet unique. As the autumn term continues, we will travel back in time to World War II, finding out about life on the home front, key events, and the resilience shown during this important period in history.
In the spring term, our learning will take us to the extremes of our planet as we investigate the powerful forces of nature, including earthquakes, volcanoes, and other dramatic natural events. From there, we will head to Ancient Egypt, uncovering the secrets of the pharaohs, pyramids, and the fascinating traditions that shaped one of the world’s earliest civilizations.
As we move into the summer term, we will focus on the United Kingdom, learning more about the geography, regions, and landmarks of the place we call home. Finally, we will step even further back in time to discover how people lived in prehistoric Britain, from the Stone Age through to the Iron Age. Hawaii Class is set for a year of discovery, curiosity, and adventure—learning about the past, how it's shaped the present and the incredible world around us!
